The Provincial Government has announced a new Stay-At-Home Order effective 12:01am Thursday, April 8th, 2021.
From the Provincial website, and their statement on the new Order: “On the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, all Ontarians are asked to limit trips outside the home to necessities such as food, medication, medical appointments, supporting vulnerable community members, or exercising outdoors with members of their household in our their communities.”
As a result of this Order, KDA’s offices are now closed to the public, and for the duration of the Stay-At-Home Order. We will be accepting in-person appointments only in cases where they are absolutely necessary.
Rest assured that we continue to work for you, and to provide for your legal needs. Over the next few weeks, we will be introducing digital and remote signature options to some of our clients, based on the type of legal matter, and where permitted by the Rules and the Law Society of Ontario. We continue to invest in these new technologies to serve you better, so that these options are available to as many of our clients as possible in the future.
We remain open for business as usual via telephone and email, however our physical office locations are locked during regular business hours and closed to the general public.
Wherever possible, virtual client meetings will be used to conduct business.
In-person appointments shall only be arranged in situations where these meetings are absolutely necessary, and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
If you have a scheduled in-person appointment, please call the office you are attending (using the appropriate number below) to let us know you are here, and we will send someone to unlock the door and let you in.
Stringent disinfection and public health protocols, including mandatory mask wearing and social distancing, will be followed in all cases.
At KDA Law, we believe everyone deserves access to
quality legal services, at reasonable prices.
